Where We Still Meet

Story behind it

I created this painting during a time when the weight of grief was still present, but I had started to find a little more peace within myself.

The two birds represent my grandfather and I, together, free from the reality of loss, even if only for a moment.

The calmness of the sky and water reflected the peace I was beginning to find within myself, knowing that he was in a better place.

This piece carries that quiet sense of peace, while holding onto the love, hope, and connection that still remain.
